Memorial Day Observance

Memorial Day observance and schedule for Lyndeborough

Memorial Day activities in Lyndeborough will take place tomorrow, Sunday, May 24, beginning at 11:30 am. Veterans are invited to a lunch provided by the Lafayette Artillery on the second floor of Citizens’ Hall.

If weather allows, the parade will begin at 1 pm from Central School. Veterans are encouraged to join a short march into downtown. The parade will end at the Town Common on Route 31, across from the Village Store, followed by commemorative services. A cannon salute will take place just across the street.

If rain occurs, the lunch will still take place, but the parade will be canceled. Most of the ceremony will then be held indoors.

The Town of Lyndeborough and The Lafayette Artillery will be conducting Memorial Day activities on Sunday May 24th.

Lunch for veterans will be held upstairs at 9 Citizens’ Hall starting at 11:15 AM.

Route 31 will be closed from approximately 12:30 PM until 2 PM in the area of the Town Common (across the street from the Village Store).

The parade kicks off from Central School at 1 PM and will follow the same route as years past, from the school into Town, turn around at the Fire Station and stop at the Town Common. If you are a veteran, please join us to march.

A ceremony in honor of Memorial Day will be held at the Town Common with a cannon salute following the ceremony.
